What did Santa bring the dawn patrol?
I don't know what Santa brought yet. Hubby and I are going to leave early to watch little ones open gifts and then on to the other kid's house. We'll see what Santa brought some time this afternoon when we return home.

Just put in the French toast casserole. I'm taking it to daughter's later where it will be reheated with the other stuff made yesterday.
Should have tried to go back to sleep. Can't seem to do that after a solid six hours.
I'm doing just great! I got 6 hours of sleep in 2 three-hour stints. Not how I like it, but it will do. Bet it smells good in your house!
Santa will be taking a rest stop at my house later today.

Very busy day....could not prepare lasagna last night ready for baking today because my frig was too full. One daughter is coming this morning, others coming throughout the day. Dinner for all at 6pm. (or thereabouts...lol)
Last year, my girlfriend taught 4th grade at a 100% minority school (which was closed - now she teaches at the best school in town - quite a change for her). Anyway - one of her daughters (Sue) latched on to one of her previous students and has been a surrogate mom to her for a while (I didn't get the whole story - but I think the dad left and mom is on drugs - she's with an aunt now).
So - last night - we're preparing for the Christmas eve feast, when the girl calls and is crying (she's alone on Christmas eve). So we put a hold on everything and Sue jumps in the car and goes and gets her.
The night continued - with one, very happy black girl among a whole bunch of white folk and two dogs. Then, when we opened the presents - unbeknown to me, everyone had gotten her something. She ended up with a huge pile of stuff.
Anyway, she eventually fell asleep and spent the night over there. My GF is bringing her here later to see my fish - before she takes her back to her aunt.
