Is it naughty? I'm not sure which one is my favorite -- did Harry Connick, Jr. do one?

There's one I hear on the radio all the time that I like, and through elimination it's not Dean Martin or Bing Crosby.

LOL! Now, if Santa held a press conference and announced he was leaving everyone in the Bush administration a lump of coal in their stockings, the Libs would view him as a hero.

A STINKING ORANGE???!!!!!

Are you series? Man...I'm sorry. But that's rather funny, in a twisted sort of way. Someday you'll be able to look back on it and laugh!

You need to go call your boss on the phone right now. Tell him that you're concerned about the state of the company's finances. Tell him that you know that he would begift his associates to the best of his ability. Since the gift was oranges, you must assume that the company's in great financial danger. Ask him if he needs to to notify anyone of this terrible situation...maybe garner some assistance from the community.

That'll freak him out. He won't want the community to think things are bad for the company!

:-)

I'm evil, and I'm not even a lawyer!

LOL!

Well, I looked at the lyrics and I guess it could be taken as naughty, but I've always viewed it as innocent.

That's just me.

Well...basically she's saying "I'm supposed to go home..." Not that anything happens. It's cute.

I like Dean Martin's version, actually. There's a James Taylor one I hear on the radio pretty often, but that's just weird.

I'd guess it's very likely Harry Connick Jr. did it as well. It isn't on the album I have, but he has another holiday album out now. I want.

<<< "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" >>>

I forgot that one, creeping age is a bad thing.
I would add that to my list as well.

That is rather funny. The worst work-related Christmas gift I ever got was when I worked temporarily for a large paper manufacturer (which shall remain nameless). A few days before Christmas, they proudly handed out their Christmases bonuses to us temporary workers. When I looked inside my gift bag, I found a four-pack of toilet paper!!

That is certainly odd.

In the version I like, the singer has a real fluid voice and actually sings his lines.

I'm laughing now, I feel sorry for my boss, who only
loves money, his wife and his cat, all things which
are destined to leave him someday.

He has no leadership skills, and does not realize the
wonders a carrot will do, but then he obviously thinks
we are all over paid for our qualifications, no concept
of unit cohesion, etc. etc.
It's a shame because he wasn't that way years ago,
oh always a bigoted racist moron but then he used to
put on a Christmas dinner for the crew, thanks for
all your work etc.
Now........nothing, really absolutely nothing.
I've had it, no raise in three years, I'll find myself
a place and start my business over again this summer.
I was a relatively famous blacksmith artist once.
Now I'm just a over paid drone of a steel fabricator,
who can be replaced like that! (Snapping fingers.)

We are off till after NYD which is good, gives my knees
a chance to recover, unpaid of course.

Hahaha. what a life!

Now you've got me wondering. It's one of those songs I've been listening to a lot these last few weeks, and I wish I knew who it was! It isn't on that other Harry Connick Jr. holiday album, though I suppose that could go on regular albums as well.

I think it might be the Harry Connick, Jr./Lee Ann Womack version.

Ah, there's someone!

That sounds like it could be nice! I haven't heard it, but I like both their voices...

Heh...listening to a local webcast of Christmas oldies, and Johnny Mathis is up. And I *did* watch Mitchell this week, so I'm having trouble keeping a straight face.

"Isn't often you see Johnny Mathis in the wild..."
