Yes, it is actually a blessing. It gives you a chance to do some things you couldn't if it constantly snowed.
I don't know what exactly, but it sounds right. LOL!

Hi all.. sorry I have been sparse.. have had some ups & downs here at the DollyCali household..The major one being the death of my 5 year old Oliver (pooch)
I do hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas.. if you are single holidays can be very lonely/depressing.If you wont be w/family or friends, I suggest you go to visit your local VA hospitals, nursing homes etc. give of yourself & you will not be lonely. Even if you have a family/friend outing stop for an hour FIRST at the VA... it will prolly be the hi light of the day.
My overall favorite Christmas "thing" is Mannheim Steamroller's music..
Will try to get back over weekend.. In my quick scrolling, I see a lot of friendly screen names.. hugs to you all & kissy face under the cyber mistletoe!!!!

Just to walk without a heavy coat is a blessing, lol.

Merry Christmas to you, also -- I'm very saddened to hear about Oliver. I'll be praying for you.

Just to walk without a heavy coat is a blessing, lol. I like being able to wear my dress shoes without having to put snow covers on!!!

Thank you Scott. This has been the hardest death I have EVER experienced.. and I know many of you will think this is awful, but that includes the loss of my dad. I loved my dad but he was older, very ill & was NOT my 24/7 companion for 4.5 years.. Oliver was my first dog ever. I still have Toby (Oliver's dog since labor day) and a slew of kitties, but sure miss my guy.
I am a grief counselor but it sure is different when you are on the hurting side!
I saw movie Memoirs of a Geisha tonight.. interesting flick. Recently have seen King Kong, Narnia, Pride & Prejudice, Transporter, and Syriana. all very good.
Going to crash. Supposed to be at Brown's game tomorrow.. sweet dreams FReeper FRiends...

I still kinda think it's near heresy for anyone to redo Pride and Prejudice after the BBC version. That was simply superb!
Granted, it's six hours long or so, but...
Good night! Sorry I missed you - condolences on Oliver's death. This is a tough time of year to lose a devoted pet.
To: DollyCali
Good night, DollyCali! I went through it in March of 2004 (a cat), and it was incredibly hard on me. I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack within that first month; I remember having to go to the grocery store and get an inhaler just so that I could catch my breath.
I had taken some pictures of the little guy just a week or so before his death, and it took me forever to get the pictures developed. It was just too painful.
So, I will definitely pray for you.

Sort of! I started on another lousy crochet project, so I got distracted.

Neither can I...but I keep trying. ;-) I dunno...this one is kinda coming out lumpy. At least it'll be warm, and this one is just for me, so I guess it doesn't matter.
It looks kind of OK in the dark...

Getting distracted is something I *am* good at. Very good.
To: RosieCotton
As long as it feels good, crochet it.
