Oddly, no.

Cats are sometimes totally instinctual in their reactions.
They do remember stuff, but instinct tells them there is a -=Threat=- there.
So they act on the info.

(My previous cat, the bobcat domestic mix, was famous for doing bluff charges and snorting for show.)
