Okay, that's it. I'm crazy about Sam. What an outstanding boy! Love that he flops. We've had floppers in our time. Have one now. Rhys' neck bows out, he hesitates a second or two, and then down he goes. He's a total riot and he knows it. What a ham!

Not to detract from the seriousness of Sam's situation but I must tell you, I'm not "getting" that he's ready to boogie on out of here. Don't worry, I'm not a 1-900 psychic or anything. My plain old-fashioned kitty cat intuition is that he'll be able to handle whatever this is. I certainly hope so.

We currently have three Siamese. Blue point, seal point, and a lilac. All altered males and they are loaded with personality. Elliott's our big talking boy, but the others are fully capable of chiming in whenever they have something important to "say." People either love the breed or they don't. Guess I don't have to mention which camp we're in.

Please be sure to keep us posted on Sam. Don't know if he'll be up for this, or if you will for that matter, but I'm a big believer in whispering little prayers to our boys every morning. They're used to it now and really seem to like it. Minute I start doing it they all begin to purr. It's pretty sweet and it certainly doesn't hurt anything. "We'll" include a special prayer for Sam tomorrow morning. Don't know that they'll understand that but I will.

All the best to both of you!

Thanks so much. I don't think Sam is ready to go, either, but the process is so worrisome. He is one of a kind, that's for sure. And so beautiful.

I love Siamese, too. My Dad is a cat worshipper, and he has had quite a few over the years. Has one right now, who is a Lavender point and a wonderful kitty. Not aloof at all, and will even wrestle with the little kids.

Sam went deaf a couple of years ago, but I still talk to him. I talk right into his skull, and I think he can "hear" me. It seems to make him happy.

But then again, he's happy all the time. Even when he's telling our 100 lb. Lab what to do. Sam definitely rules the roost.
