Think we could take up a collection as an offer for her to STFU completely? If anyone needs hush money, it's her.

More than too much, but still not even in the ball park with what MahaRushie is pulling in.

Would you come on over for 60 Million?
Sure I would!
Would you come on over for 1 Million?
What do you take me for!?
That's already been established.
We're just dickering about the price now.

I wonder if NBC hopes she takes it...

If I were a See B.S. stockholder, I'd be raising holy hell about the pissing away of the network's monies for the leftist "news" person kc.

CBS is offering Katie Couric $60 million over five years to anchor the networks "Evening News, according to a report LESS than the $15 million a year she is currently paid as host of NBCs "Today. Does this mean she is a depreciable ass(et)?

To: Sub-Driver
Perfect. I hope she takes it.
I think Katie is dynamic enough to take the entire CBS news operation down the tubes. A couple of years of the perky one, and CBS will mothball the entire operation and simply rebroadcast CNN Headline news for their news segment.

Further proof the CBS News is run by lunatics. Say what you will about Perky Katie's politics, but she'll probably jump at the money. When they fire her after a disastrous six months, she won't care!

"Katie would likely be able to dictate a whole new direction at the nightly news show not to mention new sets, promotion and marketing campaigns and other expensive changes.ratings would still be lower than the weather channel.
To: Sub-Driver
I make a tiny, tiny fraction of her salary, but Katie could never qualify for my job--she'd have to be subject-matter qualified. Clearly that's not a requirement for her current job.

I find this amazing. CBS wallows in the rating pits not because of who reads the news on air, but because of what CBS considers news and what's not said because of a detectable bias. So ,the answer is Couric, a fluffy shill for liberal causes. Amazing. Like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

Assuming she only takes 2 weeks vacation, that's about $96,000 per hour. Anyone really think she is willing to pay a higher tax rate? |

As far as I'm concerned they might as well hire that guy that walks around in the suit with the question marks all over it as hire the perky one - both are likely to be about as good.
