obviously you've never experienced a North Dakota/Montana blizzard if you think it doesn't seep into every nook and cranny in your house.
But, discounting that, if the people who were in Louisiana whining and bitching about the lack of response by the Feds were here, they would have all frozen to death and we probably wouldn't have had to listen to their filth on National TV.
The point behind the post is, We don't depend on others to get us out of difficulty.
We handle it ourselves.
Floods v. blizzards is still a comparison of two vastly different phenomena. Surely you can see that the New Orleans flood was far more severe than the blizzard that just hit Montana.
To the point that you can either crawl into your attic or die?
Enjoy wallowing in the pride over your self-reliance. But your attempt to use that pride to disparage the victims of Katrina is not only misguided, it is mean. You may as well start questioning why those folks in hospitals and nursing homes didn't just buck up and walk out of there.
