Ok, I have a question. I consider myself to be conservative with a few libertarian leanings. While I am most definetly not on the level of many enviro-fanatics, I am very environmentally-conscious.
My major concerns are with the prevention of sprawl, as well as the preservation of farmland, wetlands, etc. Many people probably will not like this, but for example, I am talking about preserving an area like the Everglades. I believe that there are some parts and aspects of nature that should be preserved, even if they serve no economic benefit to society. I'm pro-gun, not anti-hunting, and I'm no vegetarian. I am simply looking for a group that shares my concerns.
So far, I have had trouble finding any that do not have a radical left-wing agenda. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.
Run for office, your local community, or your state gov.
Helf? Helping + Hugh "Hef" Hefner = Helf?
Unless they've become radicalized in the past couple of years, Ducks Unlimited.
I'm in your camp, I think. We were given stewardship of the Earth, to use it and care for it wisely. I can't see the care part going against conservative grain. How could it? I think this is an area of interest and concern for many (compassionate) conservatives that we've handed to liberals, and they use it against us. I'm interested in the replies, too.
The only one I'm aware of:

Superb article; thanks for posting this link! I have bookmarked it on my computer for future reference.
Thanks alot for posting that link. I'll definetly look into it.
I agree. I think that Republicans could take up envionmental issues such as these and actually win votes, because I think alot of people feel this way. The majority of people do not support the radical agenda of many left wing environmentalist groups, but there are issues that I do believe many people believe in and would support.
