In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French, from Late Latin concupiscentia, from Latin concupiscent-, concupiscens, present participle of concupiscere to desire ardently, from com- + cupere to desire
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

I wish it were not needed.
But, some people only react to fear, to force, and to their OWN perceived (ie, real-world) pressure of "fear of death" on their own bodies....
There are evil people out there, and (regretably) the pollyanna's don't understand that a velvet glove can be effective, IF it is wrapped around an iron fist that will actually be used ... when the velvet fails.

Amen to that-rino he may be, but he absolutely did the right thing in allowing that murderer be terminated.
I'm doing an estimate in a town less than 20 miles from LAFB, so if I'm going to take advantage and go to the BX and commissary on the way home, I'd better start now-I'll come to class later...
