Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We're off, late as usual... will call when we get close to Fredericksburg!

I guess the definition of miracle depends on which team God's rooting for then! My mom's up there somewhere and was a HUGE Seahawks fan. :~D

Well, Good luck to your team anyway.... May the best team win.
And you never know... If mom would have been alive to see the Kingdome demolished 25 years before it was paid off, and two new stadiums that no one wanted built at taxpayer expense, she might not have been able to remain a fan. For all I know she's on your side...
Lots of water under that bridge.
Speaking of water under the bridge, ecurbh and I are planning to go out today to look for floodwater. A lot of it has gone down, but we thought we'd take the camera and go see.

The Seahawks are favored by 9. Home turf and all that...
Doesn't look good fer yer 'skins.
But there will be many opportunities for the Seahawks to choke like they always do. I'd root for them now, but I'd feel guilty about it being the first game I watched all year. :-)
For me, the Seahawks were never the same after Zorn and Largent. I can't say I even know any names now.

Grab your hammer and you're all set!!
I've been cleaning and straightening this morning. OB left early for the gun show up by the airport; he'll be gone all day. I'm just snacking on a papaya strip and then I'm heading out for bird seed and the grocery store.
He stayed home yesterday and we made two trips to the dump; finally got rid of some large clumsy stuff in the basement that required the truck. My excuses for not getting a new vehicle are getting fewer with each trip. I want my old car back. I really, really do.
To: LSAggie
I'm sorting through the video collection (while listening to the ballgame---gonna dig in the dirt when the game's over) and I found the stuff.
Now all I have to do is decide where to put things.
