Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That's true. Glass is unhelpful in the dropping department.

Just because Jen is gone, Mr. Beepy is being noisy.
I'm gonna let it slide for now, since it's still early. But if he doesn't stop by ten...
To: Ramius
Well, I won't believe it's him until one of those pieces turns up some matching DNA. ;-)
"I'm Not Dead Yet" has become the slogan for these folks.

You'd have to design a containment system to capture and reinject the carbonization ...

20/20 "Stupid in America" is on right now. Supposedly will promote homeschooling.

Hey... Cool volcano in Alaska erupted today. Kodiak is getting condition "red" levels of ash they say. Pretty wild. I've been to Kodiak a few times. Really seriously gorgeous place.

Judging by how high the bass is turned up, apparently in his world music is no good unless it makes your whole house thump.
Oh, also it needs to include the "f" word at least five or six times per sentence. Otherwise it just ain't fun.
To: Rose in RoseBear
Think so? The inner bag should just collapse, like wine does, I'd think, as long as no air gets in. The beer should just gravity feed. But I guess there should be pressure. Need to try it and see what happens.

there's gotta be a reason why nobody does it. Seems too good an idea not to have been tried.
