Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Home is behind, the world ahead
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's stuck in garage now. The door won't close, but it's better than nothing.

Heh...there's nothing wrong with eating with your fingers! :-D
I've been feeling pretty sick. Worse than I should considering I only had a couple of shots.
My mom saved my life with a little packet of this stuff....

I'm feeling human again.

Well, THAT's good. :-)
Say... anybody heard from 2J lately? These big fires in OKC are quite a ways from Tulsa, but the wind is blowing that way...

Glad you liked the movie. :-D
Better that the power came back on ~before~ the generator was all hooked up and ready to turn on. :-/

No, but I think it's because it's the holidays and Steve's been home.
I expect she'll be back soon!

It's weird. I've never gotten sick on so little alcohol in my life.
Admittedly, I'm not a big drinker but that's why I only do a shot or two and never mix.
Just strange that all of the sudden I can't handle a couple tequilas.
My mom insists it's because I have a "highly sensitive liver". ~rolls eyes~

Heh... it's not the liver. Most of it is simple dehydration that gives the headache and makes you nauseous too. It doesn't always take a lot of alcohol, especially if the other stuff you're drinking, like coffee or coke or whatever are diuretics too.
But a lot of alcohol just makes it more likely. :-)

Besides, Kahlua tastes so much better.

mmmm...Ruby Tuesdays...
Never had any of their fancy drinks, but I really like that Strawberry Tallcake they have for dessert. Yummy.

I think she's pretty suburban, I wouldn't expect the fires would reach her. My friend Becky is out in the dry grass and trees, but no fires ~real~ near her yet.
