The bigger box would kinda be overkill...unless I find a buncha other things to send 'em.
*sigh* I've been trying for two days to get in touch with either the folks at home or Jim, and no luck on either. I need that address!
Grr. How annoying! They should answer when you call.
I'm guessing they're over at a friends' house or something. They wouldn't ignore the phone, so it's not that.
Sorry the picture is so big...
Hey all - Corin called - said the Missus came through her surgery just fine and was in recovery :~D
What was the surgery for?
He's having surgery in his mouth tomorrow... so they'll both be out of commission for a while :~\
Yaaah!
thank you Hair - please pass on my well wishes, and prayers.
Have been working on TWO shrugs and a capelet...I have so many projects Ive started, I am embarrassed...
Oh sorry...its crochet! EVEN BETTER!! LOL Lovely blanket!!
You have a baby blanket? Why?
Her crocheting was awesome. She was unstoppable. If she was in NaNoCrochetMo, she'd have won easily.
Glad to hear it.
Corin, come back after your surgery, you can still talk to us, right?
I want to find an easy pattern for a capelet...maybe even one I could extend into a cape to use as a winter dress "coat". But I'm a total beginner...a lot of patterns are intimidating, and/or want you to use really fancy, expensive yarn.
Good to hear! Thanks for the update!
One of us had a ripple blanket...John, I think. It's still around so far as I know, and I have fond memories of it (I stole it to use for dolls later on), so I guess it served its purpose. ;-)
I just wanted to do something a bit more meaningful - for me, if not for them - than just running out and buying a few sets of onesies, though of course things like that are needed, too.
I still have one of my baby blankets, and a lot of us (brothers included) still have teddy bears or the like. Kinda cool, actually. Hopefully some of them end up going to our kids.
As for the speed of this project...well, all I can say is, if they have another baby...next time I'll start the blanket about when I find out, instead of making something in three weeks. Ouch!
Tam was not amused.
I lurk at an online forum called Crochetville...have you heard of it? Patterns or links to patterns are posted all the time.
