How would one do that, anyway? I'm curious. I've messed around a bit with transfering vinyl to CDs just for convenience, but VHS seems exponentially more complex. Video AND audio, for one.
Dunno...I'll have to find out. My video card does video capture so I think I've got all the hardware that I need.
Except for a DVD burner....grrrr...
Grrrr...no burner.
Well, if the jedis get in in time, I'm going to let them make a pumpkin pie all on their own.
Should be interesting.
I'm setting everything up and writing the instructions down clearly...
Oh yeah...forgot about that. How much do desktop DVD burners go for these days?
My favorite version :)
I have all the stuff to make a pie, but I'm not sure I wanna make one just fer me. ;-) Maybe I could freeze half...or would it turn nasty, do you think? It's almost a custard sort of pie. Might not survive freezing well.
Just need the right hardware :)
Does look like a nice version. However, considering the price is over fifty bucks...you can see why I don't yet own it. ;-) But I do want it eventually. It'd be an investment!
Thanks for the suggestion, though! I'll store that for future reference.
I guess it depends on how much you want to spend. :) They have low, medium, and high range. The one I'm looking at is running around $100.
I gather that...but I wonder if it's sort of the same process. i.e. with audio, you can get a basic recording (maybe not good enough quality for audiophiles, but...) by just playing through the line-in and recording with a simple program. I don't know anything about the programs required for doing TV or video/audio.
Well I think I have the instructions stored on my hard drive....somewhere...
I don't know! Try it and see and let me know, because it's a good idea.
I know you can get frozen pumpkin pie at the store...
Radio thingie currently playing a selection from Sean Smyth's solo album. He's the fiddler/whistle player from Lunasa - the red headed guy.
I want this CD...
I was working on the original Star Wars I have on VHS and made a DVD. Then just as a lark I made the whole movie fit on a 256 MB SD card :) Much loss of quality, but plays on a Palm
Is a video capture card the same as a TV tuner? And it captures both audio and video?
Sorry for all the questions...I'm just curious.
Steve's pumpkin spice cheesecake froze up beautifully, btw...just gorgeous. I sliced it into servings and wrapped them in plastic wrap and froze them individually and he would just pop one in with his lunch and take it to work. He just finished the one I made him for Thanksgiving.
Mmm...I love pumpkin cheesecake. Haven't had that in years! They sell it every year at my Dad's work as a fundraiser for something or other...he'd generally get a couple big packages.
I'm not really here. Watching The Sound Of Music on ABC. :-D
