Yeah but what would Andy do if Opie found a wad? After all, he's a sheriff!

Sheriff Taylor would do whatever is right and then he would sit and have a chat with Opie whiles Aunt Bea casually dusts in the background and that night, Aunt Bea would make Opie's favorite pie for dessert.

Or, Andy and Opie would go fishing and have a "casual" chat (an embedded morality tale!) and Andy would tell Aunt Bea that they didn't catch any fish but had a good time talkin' anyway and she would still make Opie's favorite pie for dessert.

Barney would drop in and tell Andy he did a good job "with the boy" and, noticing the pie, would ask Aunt Bea if she wouldn't mind him having a slice of that "mighty fine looking pie" and she would say, "of course, Barney, would you like it a la mode" and Barney would say, "no, thanks, I'll just take it with some vanilla ice cream on top...if its no trouble." And, maybe a cup of coffee to wash it all down.

And, Andy would go out on the porch and play his harmonica and think how good life is in Mayberry.

(I get my Laz's confused....but I think at least one of you would like to comment on how Sheriff Taylor would handle such a problem...heh, heh....)

I believe, if Opie found a wad, he'd go off with Gomer to South America, and invest in full auto rifles. They'd smuggle the rifles into Cuba on a speedboat, and when they were caught, Aunt Bea would exclaim, "Oh, lands sake, Andy!" and climb into her mechanized battle armor. Andy, of course, would join her, and the twin behemoth 340-ton laser-equipped Mechs would stomp over the countryside and underwater until they got to Cuba. Castro would send up some UFO's he captured, and lob Neutronium bombs at the Mechs. Aunt Bea would activate the repulsor graviton beams and push the bombs into the sea, where they would explode harmlessly. Castro, of course, would be furious, but what could he do? The Mechs would stomp on tanks and catch jet fighters out of the air, until Castro came in his own MechaStreisand (A Mech shaped like Barbara Streisand) and then Floyd the Barber, who is really a Wizard of the Eclion Order of Mages, would cast a Power Word Stun to gain time, and would summond many Remhoraz Worms, who would swallow the MechaStreisand, and then they would rescue Opie and go back to Mayberry and have a nice blueberry pie.
