By JOHN ASKILLA SHOCKING video of a train driver having sex with a woman in his cab sparked fury last night.

The tape, handed to The Sun, shows him groping the brunette, stripping off her clothes and performing sex acts.

It emerged on the day we revealed another driver had been sacked for stripping naked in his cab in a high-speed game of dare.

At least FIVE other Midland Mainline drivers are said to be trying to out-do each other in shocking antics.

But the Derby-based company insisted the driver in the steamy train sex video was not one of their employees.

The new 53-second mobile phone video shows the uniformed man putting passengers’ lives at risk as he abandons the controls to romp.

The woman allows him to peel off her trousers and fondle inside her pants. Then he drops his trousers while she performs a sex act. In other pictures he lifts up her bra to expose her breasts.

Last night The Sun alerted rail bosses to the dare game — for the second time in 24 hours. Earlier we revealed how drivers on 125mph trains carrying up to 400 commuters were endangering lives.

A mobile phone picture showing the naked driver at his controls was sent to a shocked woman employee who raised the alarm.

One furious railway worker accused the drivers of “playing Russian Roulette with passengers’ lives”.

Midland Mainline, which operates trains across the East Midlands and into London, said one driver had been sacked after a police investigation.

Last night Andy Reid, Labour MP for Loughborough, Leics — which is served by Midland Mainline — angrily attacked the drivers’ pranks.

He said: “This is a serious issue. Some people might see this as a bit a laugh but I think most passengers would be a worried if they knew the driver of their train was not fully in control.

“There is a time and a place for pranks and behind the wheel of a train travelling at 125mph is not one of them.”

Rail Passengers Council spokesman Gautam Srivastava called for the train companies to take “appropriate action”.

“We take a very dim view of any action that brings the safety of passengers into question.” he added.

Last night commuter Rachel Lillie, 21, of Derby, said: “I think those involved should be fired. I can’t believe this can go on.”

My father worked for the same company for over 50 years. He started out hand firing freight and yard engines and worked his way up to be an engineer a position he regarded as one of great trust and responsibility. My father said more than once in my hearing that a railroad was a really easy place to either get yourself of=r a lot of other people killed. All it required was laziness and carelessness. About 15 years ago there was a very bad accident near Havre de Grace Maryland in which an Amtrak train collided with a freight train. My father had been retired over 20 years then but was emphatic that such an event could not have happened without the crew of one train or the other being throughly negligent. There was a statement that one of the engine crew was seen throw something into the Susquehanna River rightbafter the wreck. He was convinced it was a television set. The wreck took place on a Sunday afternoon and there were several high profile professional football games on. It was just proof to him of what slackness leads to. He wouldn't even permit a transistor radio to be brought onto his engine.

I still am stupefied by this story. These people are endangering literally scores of lives by their actions. Things can happen in the blink of an eye on a railway and trains are moving at 50 to 70 MPH. I suppose the excuse would be that the engineer wasn't operating the train and the head end brakeman was standing by the footplate. Yeah right. While the engineer is bonking some slut right there in the cabin I am sure the other operating crew have their eyes fixed on the right of way and their ears tuned to the communication radio channel. This is truly both disgusting and appalling simultaneously.

An essential point that you make clearly and succinctly.  Either one would provide, in my view, a suitable modern replacement for the Whore of Babylon

 

Although neither could be accused of drinking the blood of saints because it could be easily argued that neither has any notion of what sainthood means, both have gone out of their way to work toward the downfall of all humanity, with all of the power at their disposal..  Thank GOD that they were ultimately unsuccessful although their hideous legacy continues to fester throughout the West.

I dare say these trains are automated. The driver is essentially ballast. Probably the only reason he is there is because of union rules.

Right just to clear a few things up... First of all trains are not driven automatically. They do not have steering wheels. They are driven by a highly competent driver who undergoes 1 year of training to become one. Driving a train is a very difficult thing to do. They take a very long time to stop so unlike cars you have to know the route off by heart. This includes signals, stations, sidings, speed restictions, tunnels, bridges, gradients adn lots of other things. The speed restrictions are not like on the roads either. To put into perspective how long it takes a train to stop. A high speed train travelling at 125mph will in normal conditions take about 3 miles to stop if the driver was braking normally. If it was an emergency it takes a mile and a quarter to stop. Heavy freight trains travelling at 60mph can take 1 mile to stop if the emergency brakes are applied. The driver also has detailed knowledge of rules adn regulations which are very strict. He also has veyr detailed knowledge of the traction he is driving. He will be tested on all of these features every 6 months. I nthe cab are various safety systems. Amongst these is a "DSD". This is a pedal which the driver must keep pressed. If this becomes depressed for more than 3 seconds then the emergency brakes will come on. Also, it will bleep every 60 seconds and the driver will have to take his oot off the pedaland place it back on within 7 seconds otherwise the emergency brakes would be applied. Therefore it is impossible for a driver to be shagging someone as the train is in motion. JUst to clear up something with these incidents awswell... The stripping off was done by a TRAIN MANAGER (not the driver) of a Central Trains service. Thses trains only travel up to 100mph and he wasn't driving it, he was in the back cab. The shagging incident wasalso involving a train manager. Don't believe what the press says. They bullshit all the time!

Thanks very much for your post! I suspected much of what you say, particularly considering that commuter and subway trains here in the USA all have a motorman's footswtich, often called a 'deadman switch' which causes the train to come to a stop when pressure is released. It's a safety in case the engineer has a heart attack, and I see that in a case like this it's also helpful in forcimg him to keep his mind on the job.

Even though the danger to the public was in reality far less than what the Sun suggests, it's still a terrible example for a manager to set for the other employees. I still hope that all involved will be fired.
