there was a documentary film (I forget the title) about this incident made years ago - very good, showed the incompetence of the german security forces.
what is the thesis of the Spielberg film? does it tell the true story?
I was just in Munich for 5 days, two weeks ago. The tour guide on the "walking tour" that I did kept telling us that Munich was not even filmed in Munich. Trivia of the day...
> "inspired by real events,"
Translation:
"not faithful to actual events"
Of course, I'm boycotting Hollywood movies until 2038,
and won't see this regardless of accuracy. Money to
Spielberg is as apt as not to end up in Howard Dean's hands.
I wonder why? A movie that shows those scum for what they actually are. I'm sure that once its released CAIR and their fellow scum will accuse the movie of being hateful and racist. This movie is sure to be boycotted.
"The movie's look, from the sets, props, costumes and hairstyles."
EEEEgad, not that Superfly look? Hated that era with the wide ties, bell bottoms, long frizzy Isro hair, side burns, high heeled boots, yecccch. But, I'll probably watch it.
I'm worried about this one. America-hating playwright Tony Kushner wrote the script, and Spielberg's a Hollywood lefty with a soft-on-terrorism agenda.
Admittedly I don't get out much as I used to but a couple of these I haven't heard of at all and the rest are of the art-house variety. Who is the author?
I will not patronize any movie that has traitors like Tony Kushner or Oliver Stone as a screenwriter.
It's got no chance to win the Oscar against "Bareback Mountain."
Oh, I thought this movie was going to be about Neville Chamberlain.
Steven Spielberg's convicted stalker is going away for a long time.
And that's just how the filmmaker wants it.
Spielberg was in a Santa Monica, California, courtroom today to ask a judge to levy the stiffest possible sentence against Jonathan Norman, the man who wanted to rape Spielberg and hold the director's family hostage.
