Why can't they just tranquilize the bear and remove it? Take him to a place where he could be placed so he could hibernate as nature intended????????? To leave him there is an endangerment to everyone around and he is only doing what comes natural. So, tranquilize him and move him and all are happy.

A little more complicated than that. The game commission got its ass handed to it a few years back because they tranquelized a recidivist bear and killed it.

Once a bear chooses a territory, he just keeps coming back. They have to be sure they get him without injury, and be sure they get him to a spot that they are reasonably sure doesn't have another male bear in it.

Takes some time.

I think the family should move out until the bear is done napping. Obviously the humans stole his home and he is just moving back in.
