In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs again today. Beware !
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.
Pronunciation: va-'kyü-&-tE, v&-

But my hair bleached out naturally from the sun. The old surfin' safari days. Then in the winter my hair roots would go back to the ash blonde color which I hate on me. Cyber has the same color hair as I did, but he has a lighter skin tone. My skin tone has more of an olive color to it.
Whodat, "Miss Slippy??"
We are having a regular dinner tonight. Pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad and whatever vege I feel like serving or not.
Cyber used to plan ahead as you do, but I can't do it. Lived alone for a long time, and usually just had tomato soup at night. Sometimes it was even soup from my tomatoes that grew for me there.
I'm afraid to go out and look at my potato plants. It got down to 24 degrees last night.
Hi, Honey!
In answer to your question -- xsmommy. Doncha think?
Hardi-plank is an excellent product, but the narrow stuff (the cheapest stuff, too) applied horizontally is what is used by builders on the exteriors of bottom-of-the-line houses and cheaper manufactured homes. The more expensive Hardi-plank that looks like lap-and-gap cedar boards applied vertically would have looked perfectly fine (the real cedar looked better), but they were apparently too cheap to spring for it. Or considering how the robber baron overcharges for his mediocre work, this is probably all they could afford. I do know that he is charging them roughly 1/2 again what someone from out here would have charged, because I overheard him doing his dog-and-pony show for the wife when her husband was on the road, and I nearly fell out of the chair I was sitting reading in on the deck when I heard him quote her a price, then justify it with enough lies to make his nose grow like Pinocchio's about dearth of supply, product expense, etc-all bulls***, of course-builders don't use a scarce and expensive product for their less expensive spec homes. If it had been any neighbor but that one, I would have found a way to inform them that I had overheard the conversation, and turned them onto some facts-but because they seem to think people from the city who charge more do better work, and they are such wretched, inconsiderate neighbors, it will be a cold day in hell when I tell them that they are not going to like the brand of lubricant Bob the robber baron will be using when he screws them...
I have olive skin, too, so it is a good thing my hair is not a light red-I'd look ghastly.
My dearest xla....I mean xsmommy: I am sorry if I caused you any rough times, especially with Argh.
My grocery store is 5 miles away - but hubby has to pass that one and who knows how many on his way home from work every day!!!
Dinner is nothing special here tonight........baked chicken in a mushroom, wine, and cream sauce and rice.
Tomorrow is my normal stint at the Lodge, so hubby and Jax have a choice bewteen rotini and meat sauce or ham and bean soup. We'll reverse those choices thursday when Jax has girl scouts.
I like looking out the window, and the cat is now going in with Cyber for a different treat. Simba gets Aquari-Yums in here and Catty Shack in there. What do you do?
Is someone with an xsex of abdominable weight guilty of xsexlaptitude?
Nearest grocery store to me is 20 miles away. Forgetting something on the way home is a minor disaster. I'm fixing burgers on the grill, scalloped potatoes, spinach and salad. I'd better go get it started, too-back later...
Oh, that sounds good! Cyber won't eat mushrooms. When we order HD (home delivery) pizza, I fry mushrooms and onions to put on top of my portion.
I am by no means as well versed in these things as you are, but I have learned much from my own husband's experience and yours, so I understand you know what you ar talking about.
Considering the grief you have been put through by these people, I do not blame you for not saying anything to them about it.
If it were me, I'd wait until the job was about half way done and then tell them how they were getting screwed - by then it would be too late to do anything, yet I'd have the satisfaction of the "I told you so" moment when the complaining started later. But then I'm a catty thing :)
Cyber will eat spinach. Maybe I'll make spinach tonight with the pork chops. Thanks!
I would not say. xsbeautiful is probably pretty xspo'ed at me right now. She didn't talk to me for....let's see...well, forever since I first called her that by "mistake".
This is definitely not a fancy dinner - it's a standby type toss together when I know hubby is going to be late.
I cook the chicken for 30 minutes then mix a can of cream of mushroom soup, white wine and a can of mushrooms together, pour it over the chicken and cook another 30 minutes.
Leftovers get turned into curry with the addition of raisins, curry powder, cumin, nuts, and peas.
Sounds good. One can skip the 'shrooms, substitute cream of chicken soup, add stove-top stuffing and you have a really fine dinner.
Exlactly!
So, I should loosen up a bit and just let it all exlax quietly?
