If any one obtained the USB 2.0 hotfix, please let me know. Windows XP, due to a bug in the current Microsoft USB drivers, sees a USB 2.0 hub as an unknown device even when its connected to a USB 2.0 port. I'm waiting for MS techs to e-mail it to me but if any one else has this hotfix (892050), it would be appreciated. Thanks

I have no idea what that is, sorry. This computer has USB 2.0, 2 on back and 2 on front but they are hardly used and work fine.

Seriously, if you have a USB 2.0 port, what does the hub do exactly?? Allows more devices is my guess.

I'm using a D-Link model DUB-H4 USB 2.0 hub with WinXP Home and have no trouble getting it seen as exactly what it is. Device Manager confirms this.
Is the hotfix for specific platforms?
