Dolly "performed" the John Lennon song "Imagine" on the Country Music Awards show a couple weeks ago. One of the worst performances of the night, and it was supposed to be the finale.

She also has Cat Stevens cutting a track with her on this album.

I guess after doing "For God and Country"--a patriotic-themed album-- a couple years ago, Dolly feels the need to "reach out" to the aging leftwing side of the baby boomer generation.

Maybe I'm being too cynical?

Imagine.... the most over-hyped over-rated sentimental tosh ever written. Can't understand it's popularity - does anyone even listen to the third-grade peace-love-kumbaya BS?

(1st Video: John Lennon's "Imagine")

How disappointing.

One of my favorite songs by her is Shine. I love the lyrics.

Collective Soul ( and no, I don't expect many to know this band) did a good remake of "Shine" from their first album.
