Adblock Filterset.G Updater 0.2.6
Author: Reid Rankin, Michael McDonald Version: 0.2.6 Size: 39KB Date: 2005-10-26 Compatibility: (firefox09-small.png 0.7 - 1.6) (all-small.png 1.4 - 1.8) Requires: Adblock Homepage
This extension allows you to automatically keep up to date with G's latest filterset. Given that this is the first release you should be prepared for bugs and know how to handle them. If you want a stable version then wait for the first non-beta release after it has been thoroughly tested.
Features: * Automatically checks for later versions of Filterset.G filters every 4-7 days and downloads them if they're newer. * Can optionally synchronize with Filterset.G-Whitelist-Beta, requires Adblock Plus 0.5.9 or higher. * Ability to define your own filters that persist between updates. * User filter list management available from context menu.
Success! Thank you!
I was using it yesterday. I think it will replace Safari as my prime browser. Has some pretty cool extensions.
Actually, I had to manually update all my extensions and themes to make Firefox 1.5 work again. Easy if you have broadband like me, but time-wasting if you have a dial-up connection.
Some of it is people doing things in their spare time. Aside from that, they have corporate sponsors donating programming time, plus Mozilla.org is a 501(c) non-profit that takes donations (tax deductible!).
I believe they make money off of the little Google search box in the upper right hand corner of the browser.
So internet search is the future? Feed the borg and it will feed you?
When you hit one of the drop down triangles like the one by the back arrow Firefox hangs and you have to force quit.
Quite a few people with 10.2.8 are having the same problem.
Using 10.4. Seems a tad slow but I like the search function better than Safari (and I did add a pile of extensions -- it's 9:09 a.m. in Tokyo.)
