Defense Contractor spends $10 Million on Party for Daughter!

Big news over the weekend, when "Long Island defense contractor David H. Brooks booked two floors of the Rainbow Room, hauled in concert-ready equipment, built a stage, installed special carpeting, outfitted the space with Jumbotrons and arranged command performances by everyone from 50 Cent to Don Henley to Stevie Nicks to Aerosmith..."
Brooks got better talent than the NBC Katrina relief benefit.

This guy Brooks is from a company called DHB that supplies armor for our troops. The armor was defective and US soldiers got killed and wounded. The armor was recalled. Brooks then diluted the shares of his company driving the stock price from about $16 a share down to about $4 a share, screwing the shareholders of his company. He made I think about $70 million dollars or more in one year! This guy is incredible! WOW

He sounds like a scumbag, but $10 million is a bit hard to believe.

If it is so bad why does the military buy it?

Or does no one else offer anything better?

The article you posted is a left wing hit piece. What Brooks does with his money is his business. If I had the dough, I would hire Aerosmith for my daughters birthday, too.. Unfortunately, I had to hire Ricky the Clown.
