That is so special about the kids sending gifts to the soldiers instead of to themselves.
Kids can be amazing. MJY1288's grandkids send most of their Halloween candy to Tal Afar, and it blew away the soldiers there.
Be sure to include a note in the boxes explaining what the kids did, and if you would like a reply for the kids put in an email address or a self-addressed envelop with a couple sheets of paper (no stamp needed as they have franking privileges).
