So do I....love rock that is. I feel my age when my sons look upon my music as I did Rudy Valee music of my grandparent day. Damn! I am soo friggin old!

Yeah I think that's the idea behind playing the rock music. However studies show that if you play slow music people stay in the store longer. If you play classical music it makes people feel smarter and more sophisticated so they stay in the store longer and buy more expensive things.

My guess is if you are waiting in the check out line for a long time and you want the line to go faster because the rock music is speeding you up internally, then the rock music is irritating.
