I went into a Subway restaurant the other day and Rap was blaring. I turned around and walked out shaking my head. But, R&R I like.
I wonder how many companies let the employees control the volume of the music. It's not a good idea. Plenty of stores are run by young managers without any sense. If loud or inappropriate music only turns away 5 percent of your business that's a LOT of money lost. It just makes so much sense that whatever music you play in a place of business other than a bar or night club it should be truly background music. People are just thoughtless and lacking in business sense if they don't monitor the volume of their music and make it appropriate for the type of store of business they run.
