Freebird is a well done song.
And it teaches a valuable lesson. If you do something with energy and conviction, it is entertaining.
Ever listen to limbaugh's replacement guests ? The content is the same, but the energy level is not.
Freebird is energetic and that is good enough.

The music isn't there for your enjoyment. It's there to re-assure customers that "Hey, this is your kind of place" and keep them moving/shopping.

The only music I want to hear in a store is classic Christmas carols, and that better be only at this time of year. Otherwise, shut the hell up, lemme shop, pay and get out.

Jingle Bell Rock
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Jingle bell
jingle bell
jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancing and prancing in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time
it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go gliding in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse
pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jingling feet
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell rock

As long as it is not "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer." I want to go postal every time that stupid song is played.

You would like it if your store had Dubly surround sound.

Because Wal-Mart doesn't sell samolian folk music or gangsta rap...but at the same time, I can't see them putting on Bitches Brew, either. They'd have a bunch of guys in sunglasses lounging around, bobbing there heads whispering "coool, man. Can you dig it..."

It's more rhythmically complex, which is stimulating to the brain and thought processes. Or actually matches the heart beat at times.
Granted, western music is still no where NEAR as complex rhythm wise as many other genre's, but rock comes closer than others.

p.s.
I'm still waiting for Miles to rise from the grave with Charlie Parker and slap down Snoop Dogg for affecting a jazz persona without the required talent to back it up.

plus a band member "having a go" with one of the guests. I believe in this instance, "having a go" meant getting into a fight..

I heard if you play Stairway to Heaven backwards it says "worship Satan!" Yeah, and we all know what Kiss stands for. Kings in Satan's service.
