This reminds me of Michael Jackson buying the hyperbolic chamber. Just because you have enough money to do something extravagant, doesn't mean it's the wise thing to do. There is something so egocentric about wanting to circumvent the accepted medical practice of having your doctor take sonograms at the appropriate times, and instead treating the procedure as a personal perk. It's just plain nutty and over-the-top.

I agree. Ultrasounds seem like such simple things, but are there risks to having them done so frequently? And is a professional reading any of those ultrasounds? Does Tom know how to look for spina bifida? hydrocephalus?
I feel like a little kid was just turned loose with an H-bomb.
