"LaRouche: Because they were foolish. They are producing cars below the cost of production in order to sell them."
He's right about that, but when you have a union that won't let you reduce your work force, you are better off using the unnecessary workers to produce too many cars, than you are paying the workers to sit on their cans.

Who was in charge of watching Lyndon? You let him get out! Bad, bad, bad boy or girl. We told you it was your turn this week. Now we have to catch him again. Who's got the straightjacket?
That SOB's people sold me some "Fusion" magazines when I was in college. I thought they were for real and gave them my address and phone number. Damn, were they persistent. They kept calling me asking to put donations on my credit card. Lucky I didn't. I think that's one of the things that put his a$$ in prison.

He sounds like he is out of The Fountainhead. Every answer is so profound.

Is this former President Lyndon LaRouche or the convicted felon Lyndon LaRouche? I always have trouble keeping them straight

LaRouche, in his own peculiar way, is right about a lot of things.
But this interview had me laughing so hard, I could barely read it with all the tears coming out of my eyes.

Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr. is an American political activist fanatical, gibbering loon and founder of various political organizations organizer of a large collection of gullible, raving moonbats in the United States
There, I fixed that introductory.

---LaRouche: Even worse than that. In order to produce too many for this industry, we have set up a credit system which is insane in the auto industry.---
That's just what that car guy on TV was saying the other day: "Come on down! We're over stocked. We have too many cars and the boss is making insane deals! We'll finance anyone!"
LaRouche probably saw that commercial and then forgot about and then thought he dreamed up all these genius ideas.

Too bad we can't have the good ol' days when auto workers could make triple the average manufacturing wage, while only working half days.
You remember the good ol' days when there were beds set up in the factory floors so that "WINOs" (workers in name only) could sleep for the last 4-5 hours of their shift because they had already satisfied their artificially low quota.
Yeah, the good ol' days when WINOs would go to their boss and ask to get laid off for the summer so they could get work done around the house and still get paid via unemployment benefits.
Hard to believe that any automaker would want to send jobs overseas with loyal workers like that!

I still have my "A little Nookie Never Hurt Anyone" bumper sticker. I loaned out my copies of Fusion describing the function of the spiral and never got them back. ie A pine cone has a spiral configuration and won't roll down hill.I have one left describing the long calculus argument between Liebnetz and Newton.
I loved to argue with the girl who called. She hd to make the calls and called me several times a year. We didn't have FRee Republic back then and she was an opportunity to argue the issues of the day.

Hey, that's what I do, too. The man was gracious enough to make up my screen name for me so I feel I have to give him permanent credit. That's the only thing J. Effing Kerry has done for me.

Hey, I might have a few copies of Fusion up in my attic. They actually had some good stuff, which was how I was first taken in. I wonder who wrote that stuff. Too bad they didn't just do that instead of all the othe garbage. Like stealing peoples' money.
They had a card table out in front of the post office. I thought it a strange way to sell magazines, but I guess it worked on me. The publishing schedule was a bit unique, too. I didn't get one for six months, or so, and they I'd get a pile. The dates on them were usually months behind.
