Anyone familiar with Google Analytics - Web Site Analytics ??
Posted on 11/23/2005 12:23:51 PM PST by Capt. Tom
I received an e- mail stating;
Tom this looks interesting may give you some additional insight on usage of your web site. www.google.com/analytics/
This turns out to be a free website tracker from Google as to where the traffic on your site comes from .
As part of the package from my web host I have a lite version of Webalizer 2 which gives me info ;but not in the detail I would like.
i.e. I have hundreds of sites that send traffic to my non-commercial site but I get only the top 30 referrers, and can't break it down to a day basis.
I have a few questions: Is it possible to have more than one website analizer device on your site at the same time? (Such as Webtrends, Google Analyitic, and Webalizer.)
Would multiple analizers slow the site down?
Has anyone tried the new Google Analytics?
How detailed is it. Can you select an individual day and get all the referrers for that day and the number of people reffered? - Tom

Sorry to break the theme here, but I just have one question for anyone who's familiar with Google Analytics:
What's the catch?
I mean, I could just bite the bullet and read all their fine print myself. But, why would I do that, when chances are good that someone here has done the dirty work already?
To: newgeezer; Lazamataz
I don't want to do your dirty work ... no more!

Could be worse. I got this Email, and apparently, when you Google 'failure', then hit "I'm feeling" lucky, then turn around three times, and wave a beanie baby over your cpu...
To: LongElegantLegs
Ted Nugent told me about that.
