The answer is yes! It died with Frank. Todays music sucks! No feeling! No originality! In 15 minutes its forgotten. With Frank, in 100 years people will still be listening to him! This was Franks world and we're here only for the ride!
God Bless you Chairman!
There will always be new music hero's in the future to future generations. But Frank did have a way of crossing all generation gaps. Young and old alike loved his music.
Do you know that when he first started singing no one would listen? So they paid girls in the audience to swoon and cry and scream when he sang the first few times out? I for one am glad they did. Because he might have gone unnoticed if not for that. And we could have lost a music legend for lack of interest.
Boomer, I just finished a Christmas song for our Troops. I was wondering, could you make a flash movie with it for them? It's just music. I used Acid to put it together.
I uploaded it to download.com about 20 minutes ago, God only knows how long it will take them to put it on my artist page. But it would be great to have a video of some sort for the troops. What do you think?
You have that exactly RIGHT.. Sinatra was, and even now, IS the finest interpreter of the Great American Songbook.
There is truly no one who is presently recording who can replace Sinatra's creative artistry. But, speaking as a Sinatraphile, I'm a tad biased. :>)
