NEW YORK, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Naked parties appear to be the latest fad to streak across East Coast universities, it was reported Tuesday.
After apparently gaining a foothold at Brown and Yale, the fad has caught on at New York's Columbia University, the New York Sun reported.
All the parties have one thing in common -- all articles of clothing are left at the door. Among the reportedly banned items are cameras, masks and "spikey things," the newspaper said.
Students told the Sun the parties are more social than sexual. One Columbia student said he was surprised the trend even caught on at the basically conservative university.
"Columbia students are generally not into the exhibitionist realm," senior Zachary Bendiner said. "Rightfully so, because by and large they aren't terribly attractive."
Sure... yep... I am sure they'll talk about the finer points of Shakesphere while completely nude. And people buy Playboy for the articles.

Yep... sounds conservative to me.
Coming to an University near you!
Oh, yuck.
Dude...webcam...
They must come after the last final, or they are not Engineering/Physical Science majors and do that everyweekend.
This does irritate me.
I am a junior in Chemistry btw.
Yep. I'm still trying to purge some of the images from a visit to a nude beach on Saint Martin from my memory.
Heh. Sorry for bumping this. I was searching for another college party story, found only this, and forgot to check the date.
Well, you can see how this has vaulted into popularity since then.
Probably as a result of all that global warming. Which reminds me ... I have to make sure I can get to the global warming shovel, just in case.
Hmm. I had a pretty good tagline back then. I must have been smarter.
