Maybe it's just me, but I'd think that a gun show would be about the last place on Earth where a person would need a loaded gun.

How about in the parking lot to and from the show? The bad guys know that you likely have guns and/or lots of cash and the guns are not loaded..........relatively easy pickings.

Myself I am a very big believer in punishing those who violate the law (discharge of a weapon in a dangerous manner) rather than punishing us all for the unlawful or stupid actions of a few.
