Hot news from
Jayski -
- Michael Waltrip Racing has partnered with Doug Bawel (late of Penske-Jasper Racing) to create Waltrip-Jasper Racing. They will use Bill Davis equipment, and more importantly, take the #77 34th-place 2005 owners' points for the #55 NAPA Dodge. This leaves Scott Wimmer and the Morgan-McClure #4 Chevy (36th in 2005 owners' points) out in the cold once again.
- NASCAR is switching to unleaded gas in 2008.
- It's all-but-official; Toyota's coming to Cup and Busch in 2007. The official announcement's due Monday.
- Rusty's getting some 'sperience for his broadcast career as part of the 2006 ABC/ESPN IRL team.
- Mountain Dew bolts to Hendrick and Brian Vickers. Meanwhile, Jim Beam (yes, the same Jim Beam that wanted their money back from Crash last year) reups with Crash (yes, the same Crash they wanted the money back from).
There's plenty more, but I just wanted to touch on the highlights.
