I know all them ingredients except a pork shank.
btw, in my local grocery, near to where a lot of black folk reside they had "pork stomach" for sale today. I asked the cashier if she knew how people eat that. She had a different name for it; said she did something with chittlin's with it..all of which I forget.
That store also, sometimes has pig ears.

I know all them ingredients except a pork shank.ham hocks? ...the leg below the ham or picnic. way smoked. Sweet and tasty.
Being of european heritage, anything remotely resembling an animal stomach is not to be associated with food. Haggis comse to mind. Not good eats in my world.

I thought that Jim "Craps" Doyle's offers of drivers' licenses, state-backed "loans" for mortgages, and in-state college tuition for the illegal invaders would have cleared out all of the Illinois "Little Mexicos".

I reckon some of y'all have already slipped into the New Year of 2006. I've got 2 hours and 10 minutes to go and I will long be in bed before that.
We were without power from 8AM this morn till 7 this evening and missed the resurgence of this thread and the California flooding discussion. It is bad here but not as bad as Napa and Sonoma Counties south of here.
Highway 101 is closed to the north and to the south of Eureka. Highway 299 is closed to the east isolating us from commerce.
HAPPY NEW YEAR and may your next car be a nasCAR!!!

Pete says, for what it's worth, the emergency channel on XM-Radio stated the I-80 is under water in Fairfield, at the junction of highway 4 at the offramp of Pinole Valley.
680 is closed at the junction of 780, and at the Diablo Canyon offramp.
The 101 is closed north of the Golden Gate.
I-880 is underwater at the 238.
Humboldt county is not in such bad shape afterall.
BTW, the 99 is going underwater as we speak, in several spots.
That's where Pete's gonna be playin in the week to come.
See ya on the radio.

I know he has those magic snow chains that pop out automatically. I hope he has invented an inflatable boat to keep the 99 afloat!
Stay safe Pete and Happy New Year to y'all in the Bee Hive State.

Here is the current local radar...
LOCAL RADARIt's sure nice to have power back on. God Bless the utility crews that worked on their time off in terrible conditions to restore the system.
Here is the front page of the LOCAL FISH WRAP Click around on it...

Good morning we are still here. Flooding happened all over the old flood areas in spite of over $300 million to prevent it.
There was some flooding in areas that haven't had it yet, like at Silverado Country Club.
We are still okay, and our friends had to come via back ways with their SUVs for our annual New Year's Party.
My wife was supposed to have read and served at church today. She would have had to drive about 8 miles with a lot of maybes versus a 1 mile straight shot without the flooding.
I will head out about 1 hour before the next high tide in early afternoon to see what roads are still closed.
