I don't know about favorite CD of all time (that's a hard one to decide), but my favorite CD of the moment is a CD I got this past Friday. The artist's name is Mindy Smith. Her music genre is hard to label (usually it's called "Americana" or "alt-country"), but it's really good. She has a wonderful voice, and she's not hard on the eyes either.

Here's a few. Most are on my "all time" list; some are on my "all time for today" list.
Quadrophenia-The Who
Blood on the Tracks-Bob Dylan
Making Movies-Dire Straits
Lotus-Santana
Being There-Wilco
Sticky Fingers-Rolling Stones
Gold-Ryan Adams
Squeezing Out Sparks-Graham Parker
American Beauty-Grateful Dead
Band on the Run-Paul McCartney
Eponymous-REM
Chronicle, Vol. 1-Creedence Clearwater Revival
77-Talking Heads
Late for the Sky-Jackson Browne
Rock N Roll Animal-Lou Reed
All Things Must Pass-George Harrison
Live at Fillmore East-Allman Brothers Band
Return of the Grievous Angel-Various Artists
A Man Under the Influence-Alejandro Escovedo
Waiting for Columbus-Little Feat
Trace-Son Volt
London Calling-The Clash
Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.-Bruce Springsteen
My Aim is True-Elvis Costello
I limited myself to one selection per artist, so Dylan's "Highway 61 Revisited" and The Who's "Live at Leeds" and "The Who Sell Out" didn't make it this time. I also tried to avoid greatest hits compilations, but Creedence was such a great singles band that "Chronicle" had to go on. And "Eponymous" rounds up some early REM songs before "Losing My Religion" made them MTV darlings.

There are too many to list, and many that I like have already been mentioned. But here are two, not previously named that, IMNSHO, have to be in the top ten all time best albums:
Ry Cooder - Bop till you Drop ('Little Sister' version is better then Elvis)
Roy Orbison - Mystery Girl (Title track produced by Bono, and it shows!)

Cassettes? What's that? Oh those things, Haven't used 'em in close to 15 years. Might as well ask about LP's or 45's. Now my Dad had some reel-to-reel that was awesome!
