No variety these days. Now almost every wrestler looks superficially alike and most of them have theme songs that all sound superficially alike. It's been that way for years. I'm oldschool: I like a mix of looks and styles. I'm with you.

With a name like HitmanNY I figured you were.;) Browsing the Sunday circular I seen they have a new Bret Hart DVD coming out. Since I haven't been watching much wrestling lately I can't wait to get it and see some good old matches.

My love of pro wrestling dates back to when I saw my first match on UHF tv, spanish-speaking tv in nyc in 1975. I was 7, and the WWE was called the WWWF at the time.

Though it wasn't exactly to my taste, I stuck around through the national expansion of the then WWF in the 1980s. I stuck around past 2000 and to see McMahon buy WCW and win the wrestling war. It's just not the same anymore - the humor isn't that funny, the personalities are dull, and the matches don't tell varied stories anymore, though the level of athletecism is many times greater.

And yes, my screen name is indeed a reference to the last good guy pro wrestler I liked, Bret Hart. Though even as a kid, I always favored the 'heels.' :-)
