The irony (and borderline tastelessness) of having The Undertaker substitute for Guerrero and win the WWE Championship at the Eddie Guerrero Tribute show on the day Guerrero passed away will be lost on everyone at the WWE Front Office.

Completely. I would say nobody's that tasteless but we are talking about Vince. Look at the JR skit he did on RAW a few weeks ago. But when you look at the Smackdown roster, they really don't have that many choices. And considering how many good teams and wrestlers they've chased off in the past year, the Undertaker may be the only choice.

Brining the Undertaker back faster than they expected with a major title change is probably the best thing they can do right now, given the weakness of the Smackdown roster. And Undertaker as champion certainly makes the fans happy, and he has a natural program with Orton, who has a natural program with Battista when he gets better.

The 3-way would work better with Orton-Undertaker-Battista, though. Wait and see - there will be reports from the taping tonight online this evening.

In any event, I don't think anyone in the front office has either the clarity of mind or the stones to tell any McMahon "Excuse me, Eddie died today, and your solution is having THE UNDERTAKER go over with the WWE Championship tonight is really awful."

I think its the kind of thing that people on the outside (us) can see with clarity, but that those close to the situation (management at WWE) won't see until it's too late.

Vince seems to think that the worst bathroom humor is hysterically funny. He crosses the line so often it's truly pitiful. Wrestling was much better before Vinnie Mac's national expansion - when they just were funny as opposed to trying to be funny.
