Damn, I wonder if Scientology can land me a hot multimillionare wife who is willing to stay home and take care of the kids. No but I am certain the Scientologists could teach you how to brainwash a millionaire starlet into marrying you and giving up her career.
Because that is what they have done here. Holmes didn't choose this. Free will is absent in Scientology. You do as they say.

Supposedly Katie's is demanding a multi-million dollar lump sum payment if the impending marriage does not last five years. There's nothing to that. Anyone can start a rumor.

This won't last 2 years.
Gee, why haven't we been hearing from Tom lately? Maybe it has something to do with Hollywood brass telling him to shut his cake-hole and take a long vacation if he wants so much as a character bit-part ever again.

Let's just hope she never falls down, or is pushed down and gets into a "vegetative" state. Scientologist have a history with these kind of people.

Katie Holmes is quitting acting, to become a full time wife to Tom Cruise. . . . Will someone who pays more attention to these sorts of things please tell me if there has been a marriage. There has been a much touted "engagement" ... and now, apparently, a pregnancy by some means ... but when was there a marriage? In the absence of a marriage, can we amend that to read: "a full time [fill in the blank] of Tom Cruise ... ?

Ill bet that the baby will not look like Tom Cruise. Any takers? Haven't you noticed that Katie Holmes bears a vague resemblance to Cruise? A Freeper with a deliciously warped sense of humor has posted a picture of the happy couple, where Tom's face is superimposed on Katie's. It took me a few seconds to even notice the difference, LOL!

Incorrect.
She gets s multi-million dollar payout IF the marriage lasts X# of years. (The guess is 10)
If you look at Nicole and Tom - that marraige lasted exactly 10 years.
Would you give up ten years of your life for $$$?
Bizarre.

I would suspect she's choosing to be a stay at home mom because her mom made the same decision when Katie and her siblings were little. Just because a woman gives up a lucrative job to stay home and raise her kids doesn't mean she's brainwashed. Anyone can make money. Not anyone can love and raise your children the way you can.
To: gopwinsin04
I can see taking time off but to give it up entirely sounds like a little stepford wife thingy going on.
To: gopwinsin04
at least she won't be in the next batman sequel! Woohoo!
She was the worst thing in an otherwise good movie.

Scientology is about brainwashing. If she were not a cult member, if she were an ordinary Christian or Jew, or even nonreligious, I wouldn't be surprised at her decision.
