It has been unusually warm here in Western Kentucky. I took this photograph tonight in my backyard.
Paducah has been above normal almost daily since the beginning of the month.
GLOBAL WARMING ALERT!!!! Quick, call Algore!
Up in NY, we've had a string of 60 degree days for 5 weeks. It's shorts and a t-shirt weather in November!
Must be global warming...

Hello,
Beautiful pictures, thanks. My husband's family comes from Paducah and Mayfield. Had many wonderful family reunions in the area. Take care,
Glad to be here, MOgirl
Maybe that long global-cooling period we had is over for good and we're back to normal. :-)
Beautiful picture! I have my rose bushes still blooming up here 1 hour south of Chicago also!!! Even though we've had some heavy frosts, seem easily at least 2 to 3 weeks behind with the leaves changing also.
So here's my 2 cents. Give Veterans Honor Rose bushes to people on your Christmas lists and you will be given thanks for years. They are that good.
Ever since they were introduced they have been winning sweepstakes awards at the flower shows. I hated roses until I saw this one. Every one is a "wow" -- a perfect cutting rose. Trust me on this one. [OK - I'm getting down from my soapbox now]
Not sure if you can plant those during the winter? Any thoughts...
Actually now that you mention it I did give them to people in California. . .
In a cold climate, I would definitely suggest waiting until the temps got no lower than 28 at night before planting.
Nice :)
It got down to 29 degrees here in Springfield, Ohio last night....
It got down to 79 last night here on Maui. (gloating)
Leap year needs to be every year, that way in 200 years it will still be snowing at Christmas time in NE.
Thank you for telling us about those, haven't heard about them!
Up here in NE Indiana, I've got an Easter Lily with 2 blooms on it! Weatherboofs are saying we may get our first snow early next week...
