A "tot", also known as a tater tot, is a small nugget of chopped potato that is deep fried and served as a side item with hamburgers or corny dogs.
Tater tots are often served in high school cafeterias, and are a leading contraband food that is hidden in secret pants pockets of lanky teenage nerds who haven't eaten anything all day for consumption during 6th or 7th period.

Hm, might we safely assume you're speaking from experience on that? ;-)

Nope. I was never lanky. I've always been built like a football lineman.

LOL! There is a Sonic at the entrance to my apartment complex. When I am home, I am 300 feet away from hot tater tots on demand.

OK... Saturday Night Live has jumped the shark. They just did a whole sketch about someone looking for "black caulk" for their black bathtub.

I think they jumped the shark awhile back; I stopped watching it a few years ago.

I personally think they peaked in the '80's, or so.... The last 2 casts have.. ,er.. kinda sucked!!
I miss things like Chris farley's "you'll be livin' in a van down by the river!!
And "Cheeseburger... Cheeseburger... Cheeseburger!!
And "we're hans and franz, here to pump... you up!!
And-- Oh NO... Mr. Bill!!

I grew up with the Dana Carvey/Dennis Miller/Phil Hartman cast of the late 80s. No cast since has ever matched them. I still watch because it has its moments, but the time of wall to wall funny is no more.
Chris Farley and Phil Hartman are sorely missed, God rest their souls.
