OK. Fair enuff. thanks for playin!
lol!
I think ShadowAce has a better idea: give those in the military free subscriptions.
Ah, he does contribute heavily to the Marine Scholarship Fund.
I vote we split all of your assets between those reading this thread.
Fair enough?
What is good for the goose is good for the gander
No offense but how can anybody that comes up with any sort of freebie for the troops be wrong? I plan to buy a subscription and don't care how much Rush makes off of it.
I think it's a good idea.
You've got to remember that Rush has partners as I understand.
Somehow I must have missed the part about what you are doing for our forces (except of course bitching about someone else's efforts)
Get a life.
Roger Ailes is the driving force. He bought a mouth. Rush then married marta, and she helped him market cups, ties, etal... He is a fortunate man... he was in the right place, at the right time. He can walk on water, according to the Rushbots, though.
He should not ask others to spend their money to support his desire to be heard... He can turn the tap on, or off.
If you wish to do so, do it. But, his motive is not worth my time, nor money... there are better ways to do it. I'd rather take some things to the guys at Walter Reed...
... and the liberals and new-agers thought only THEY had the edge on alchemy. ;>
Rush:I've never wanted that reaction. So I'm going to buy, personally -- this is not going to be an accounting trick. I am actually going to have a number of these Adopt-a-Soldier subscriptions bought and paid for by me on my super-secret credit card -- and I'm not going to tell you how many. Well, no, I'm not going to tell you how many but it's going to be a significant number. I'm going to do it. I'm going to buy some too. I don't want anybody to think that it's all up to you, because it's a great idea. Now, here's the second thing that I learned during the break. We got an e-mail from a 24/7 subscriber who lives in Philadelphia. His name is Lawrence Hicks. He said, "Hey, Rush, count me on this but I think you ought to add one more feature to the program. As part of the Adopt-a-Soldier program, could you also send a thank you note on behalf of every soldier and every donor to Senator Tom Harkin? You see, without him, this idea would have never become available. If Harkin hadn't ranted on and on and on, this idea from your caller would not have come up." So, yeah, I think we can do that. We can make sure that thank you notes to Senator Harkin are sent on behalf of every soldier and donor, as part of the Adopt-a-Soldier program.
What sentence would that be? The Rush forest looks good to me. Nothing wrong with making money...it's the American way.
You might want to cut down on your overuse of commas.
Excellent post! Typical liberal crap to give it away. God forbid you make a little money on something while at the same time doing a good deed. I too love that Harkin will be pissed especially since Rush will send him a thank you from each soldier who signs up. I also love that Rush sent Harkin a ton of Club Gitmo stuff. hahaha
I'll be contributing to this project.
Your post rather proves the old adage that no good deed goes unpunished.
What are you talking about?
They get an hour of his show a day-- that's sufficient. Rather than people of goodwill giving thirty dollars or more each to Limbaugh so the soldiers can access what's already available on his website-- the money should go towards fallen hero funds and for care packages...
Well .. it's up to the soldiers if they want it .. not you
Please, wouldn't you have appreciated more a calling card, socks, cookies and stuff... This subscription is great and all, but there's a lot of better ways to help the soldiers who from what I hear feel abandoned. Their has been a huge dip in care packages going over there.
Yeah, duh. And I'm allowed to have an opinion. I think a campaign like this, which seems more about Limbaugh than the soldiers is misguided. With tweaking it could be fabulous-- he should give oxygen to adopt-a- soldier programs that focus on giving the soldiers things they need.
That even makes my point further that it's more about Rush and smiting Harkin... we need to be more focused on giving soldiers things they need. I have anecdotal evidence that soldiers feel forgotten-- that war fatigue has sent in and they are getter fewer care packages.
