I would not encourage her to do that.

Anyway when she gets home she want have much in common with her age group that stayed here and watched MTV. That year will be the most important in her life. I felt pride for you just looking at the pictures.

She was home on a two week leave in August for her sister's wedding. I posted a thread, it's a cool story, if you're interested. We stopped at wal-mart to pick up stuff to send back to Iraq for her and her buddies (55 pounds worth, $47 dollars to ship, not bad considering it's half way around the world). She was really disgusted with how kids her age looked, she called them hippies. She doesn't have anything in common with her high school buddies anymore. They send her letters about who's dating who, who's sleeping with who, etc. She said, I used to be this way, I'm glad I am able to contribute to society. She graduated in 2001, not that long ago, yet, she knows they're not in her league now, she's kind of feeling sad about that, but she grew up, they're still stuck on stupid.
