I think you are not reading well today. I am reading just fine. I'm just wondering how come Al doesn't help with training prospective owners. I'm also wondering just how hard this could be.

I can't train you to know the breed.
An abused dob is damaged goods. We "turn them around" which means we get them over their immediate mental problems. But their memories are still there. If you don't know the breed, you should not own a rescue.
All breeds have peculiarities of temperament. Dobs have theirs. I can't "teach" you that. You only get that by having one, or several, of the breed. The dogs teach you that. Not me.
Successful dob owners are usually repeat owners. Abused dogs come from those who were not successful, and should never have another one. Hope that clears it up for you.
