Now having said that, not only the dogs but the owner should have been shot.

"There's no such thing as a 'pit bull'. There is no such breed recognized by any kennel club on the planet."
Yeah, they're recognizes as "American Staffordshire Terriers." But we all know them as...pit bulls.
Changing the name from pit bull doesn't change the nature any more than an NBA dress code makes a divinity student out of a thug.
United Kennel Club--American Pit Bull Terrier
The United Kennel Club was the first registry to recognize the American Pit Bull Terrier. U.K.C. founder C. Z. Bennett assigned U.K.C. registration number 1 to his own APBT, Bennett's Ring in 1898.
Nope, sorry. Wrong on both. A quick Google search would have found this:
American Pit Bull TerrierRecognition; UKC, NKC, ADBA, CKC, APBR, APRI, ACR
UKC = United Kennel Club. NKC = National Kennel Club. ADBA = The American Dog Breeders Association Inc. CKC = Continental Kennel Club. APBR = The American Pit Bull Registry. APRI = American Pet Registry Inc. ACR = American Canine Registry
Aw, come on; that's irrelevant. We all know exactly what type of dog we are discussing. Or are we again going to proceed with the endless "but what about staffordshire terriers?" hair splitting nonsense? I looked and looked through American Rifleman magazine and couldn't find any reference to a zip gun. I guess they don't exist either.
Let me ask you this - if you were advertising one of these dogs for sale how would you describe it in the paper? As a "pit bull" perhaps? Of course you would, if you wanted to sell it.
Now having said that, not only the dogs but the owner should have been shot.
Agreed, but with a zip gun.
The AKC recognozes the "Bull Terrier". Same same dog the MSM ignorantly calls a PIT BULL.
