I have heard many things of this movie. Today on FOX they had the author of the book the movie was based on, he gave a good interview. Seemed to be patriotic and kept a journal through his time with the Corp.
The question did he sell his fellow Marines out to make this movie? Is the movie even accurate.

The book at least was interesting capturing the boredom of soldiers waiting for battle and not getting it. The other interesting thing in the book was a lengthy discussion of the then new 50 cal sniper rifles coming out.
