So you do have that ten million old scientist who witnessed the evolution of vertebrates from invertebrates and was able to test why it occurred? Wow!

The problem with natural evolution is its insistence that it is an empirical science on par with the other natural sciences, which it is not. This has resulted from the hubris that only the empirical sciences are true sciences. Natural evolution has come up with what is a perfectly reasonable conjecture of the truth and as such is a true science. It should be satisfied with what are its proper limits.
