Yes, but remember
that when the bizarre attacks
were hitting Miers,
most of those attacks
included bizarre attacks
on President Bush!
And on the Freepers
who supported Bush/Miers.
Now, the attack dogs
are wagging their tails
saying let's all just MOVE ON
but I won't forget
that their only use
for us is not to support
Republicans and
it's not to support
Conservatives in general
but rather ONLY
to support their brand
of "conservativism"
and only the folks
they see belonging
to their little power blocs.
As important as
the Supreme Court is
the Lunatic Right can all
go to hell. I won't
forget their attacks
on Bush and fellow Freepers.
Better enemies
I know than "friends" who
let down the team in the clutch.
That needed saying.

Pinging you because
I made you a thread. Good post.
It got me thinking.

I supported Miers but I have no ill feelings against my fellow freepers because I am not going to let that whole episode destroy the truly important work ahead.
Forgive and forget otherwise you will become even more bitter. Bitterness is for the liberals...

Well, I agree with the Let's-Move-On thing.
But I'm afraid I'm one of those conservatives you were referring to...
Still, no harm done and no foul. Hopefully, we don't have some grudge match thread since we've had plenty already. I want to confirm Alito, not talk about Harriet. And FR has enough people to make a difference in pressuring key senators to ignore the Left and confirm Alito before December.
I'm a little surprised and flattered that anyone would actually quote me and start a vanity thread... </blush>
