Good link. It will be interesting to see how much of the mess now all over DC unfolds. on a "brighter" note.. skies are clear & Mars is outstanding. I just got home & live in a rather rural/minimal white light area. the sky is magnificant

Hope you are having a blast exploring the hill country!

We like the TX hill country a lot. Very pretty, friendly people. My only negative observation is the town seems a little congested, traffic-wise. Feels like more people using the streets than they were designed for.

But that's a minor complaint.

We've had some interesting animals around the park lately. A couple of days ago Baxter the Bloodhound arrived a couple of doors down. He is one boisterous hound dog and whoooee, does he bay! Sounds like a bull moose, LOL! Aaarrrrh, aaarrrrrhhh!!

Next door to Baxter is the hands down biggest Schnauzer I've ever seen. Apparently he is from the largest variety there is, the owner called it the "giant" variety. Plus, she said he is tall even for the breed. He's taller than Baxter is.

Finally we come to the prize park animal. Louie. The pot-bellied pig. He lives in an RV with some folks who are here. Louie weighs about 275 lb. Apparently when they got him he was a baby and fit in their hand. They thought he was supposed to be a much smaller variety of pot-bellied pig, but by the time they found out he wasn't they'd already gotten attached to him. They have a livestock ramp they put for him to move in and out of the coach. He is tethered outdoors during part of the day with a harness similar to a dog harness. They insist he doesn't stink.
