Well, I saw that one back when it was released in 1987. Probably didn't get any candy back then either.

But tonight, oh yeah, tonight, I'm getting some candy. Yessiree, Bob. I don't care if I have to ring every dang doorbell in town, I'm getting some candy tonight!

Maybe that's why you aren't getting any "candy"!

You are supposed to wait until the candy comes to your houose.
